Selena Gomez may not have an Oscar nomination this year, but she certainly made a statement on the red carpet at the 2025 Academy Awards. On March 2, Gomez attended the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to celebrate her Oscar-nominated film Emilía Perez, which is up for best picture.
The actress dazzled in a custom Ralph Lauren gown inspired by Sophia Loren. The blush-colored, figure-hugging dress was covered in over 16,000 glass droplets and Rosemont crystals, making Gomez resemble a shimmering Oscar statuette. The gown featured a daring low-cut neckline, off-the-shoulder spaghetti straps, and a short train.
Gomez completed her vintage glam look with a diamond choker, matching earrings, and cocktail rings. Her soft, side-parted waves added to the old Hollywood allure. Though not nominated for an Oscar this year, Gomez has earned recognition at the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and BAFTA Awards. She also shared the Cannes Film Festival best actress award in March 2024.
