A significant development has taken place in the case of trademark and copyright infringement against “The Crush Coffee” in Indore. Court Commissioners appointed by the Delhi District Rohini Court took action against the cafe’s outlets in Indore.
Advocate Ankur Tiwari and Vishwajeet Ahirwar, representing Yogesh Soni, owner of “The Coffee Concept,” had filed a trademark and copyright infringement suit against Ravi Raj Solanki, owner of “The Crush Coffee,” for trademark and copyright infringement. The trademark and copyright infringement suit alleged that Solanki had copied Soni’s unique logo, color combination, and style, causing confusion among customers.
The Court Commissioners seized all products, glasses, boards, bills, and other materials from the outlets located in Jhalariya, Geeta Bhavan, Scheme No. 78, Bhawarkua, and LIG Square. The Commissioners informed Solanki that he must comply with the court’s stay order until further vacation of stay.
It is alleged that Ahmedabad-based Crush Coffee had sold franchises to Pushpendra Solanki and Ravi Raj Solanki in Indore, using a similar logo and theme to “The Coffee Concept.”so they can misguide the indore public for gaining more profit. However, Crush Coffee’s outlets in Ahmedabad and other locations have a different name, logo, and theme.
Sources reveal that Pushpendra Solanki, owner of “The Crush Coffee,” has previously been involved in several FIRs, including a case of cheating under Section 420 of the IPC, for which he had served time in Pune jail.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled to take place at the Delhi District Rohini Court, where Solanki will be required to present his response.
