The much-anticipated film Metro…In Dino, the concluding chapter in Anurag Basu’s acclaimed trilogy of urban tales, has officially released its first full track — Zamaana Lage. Sung by Arijit Singh and Shashwat Singh, the song is a poetic exploration of love and modern relationships, echoing the emotional complexities of life in contemporary cities.

The composition, crafted by music maestro Pritam with evocative lyrics by Qaisar Ul Jafri and Sandeep Shrivastava, marks a striking fusion of traditional ghazal poetry with contemporary musical sensibilities. According to Pritam, the team sought to breathe new life into the ghazal form — not as a nostalgic relic but as a vibrant, emotionally resonant format for today’s listeners. “A ghazal can be pop, it can be modern in sound and structure while holding onto its poetic soul,” he explained.
Zamaana Lage not only brings back the celebrated creative partnership between Pritam and Basu — previously seen in Life in a… Metro and Ludo — but also introduces a fresh sonic dimension to the narrative of Metro…In Dino.
The teaser for the song showcases a stellar ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, and Saswata Chatterjee, promising a film rich in emotional and narrative depth.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner in collaboration with Anurag Basu Productions, Metro…In Dino is scheduled to hit theatres on July 4, 2025.
