Balenciaga’s  Latest ‘Zero’ Shoe Leaves Foot Exposed, Internet Calls It “Toe Cap”

“Very very cutesy,” user commented on its post…

Balenciaga, celebrated for its cutting-edge fashion, has introduced “The Zero,” a groundbreaking shoe as part of its Fall 2025 collection. This innovative footwear redefines traditional shoe design with its minimalistic approach, offering limited coverage that leaves most of the foot exposed.

Constructed entirely from foam, The Zero includes distinct toe grooves, a textured traction pattern, and simple enclosures. It combines functionality with a sleek, almost barefoot feel. Offered in a variety of earthy shades, the bold design—reminiscent of the gorp-core aesthetic—has sparked a mix of reactions online.

While some praise Balenciaga for its bold and creative take on footwear, others find themselves confused by the design. “The Zero”, designed exclusively for use with tabi-toe socks, is scheduled for release in the Fall 2025 season, with pricing yet to be announced. Considering Balenciaga’s reputation as a luxury brand, these minimalist shoes are anticipated to come with a steep price.

User commented on its post, “At this point fashion really just a social experiment and folks tryna figure out how far yall will take it.”

Another user wrote, “Bro walking around with a toe cap.”

“These the type shoes u need when u having a gout flare up,” the third user commented on a post.

“The final boss of barefoot shoes,” a user praised the style.

“Very very cutesy,” another user commented.
