As the chill of winter fades and the warmth of the sun begins to spread its golden rays, the heart of Delhi beats with an unmistakable energy—ushering in the much-anticipated season of spring. The onset of this vibrant season is not just a shift in the weather but a time to celebrate new beginnings, creativity, and joy. At the forefront of these celebrations is Vasant Panchami, a festival that marks the arrival of spring with an infectious sense of happiness and renewal.
The occasion is celebrated with sounds of dhol, the pulsating bhangra, flying of colorful kites, the making of yellow rice. This day of Vasant Panchami is considered auspicious as it is day for Saraswati Puja for many communities in West Bengal, Tripura, Assam and Odisha etc. It is believed Goddess Saraswati is the embodiment of knowledge, art, music, aesthetics and harmony. It is believed that on this day Goddess Saraswati must be worshipped for growth in education and is a day of purity for students and they begin the season with the blessing of the
deity.
