Renowned fashion designer Vishal Rathore unveiled his latest collection, Itihaas, in Udaipur on Friday. Dedicated to preserving Rajasthan’s cultural legacy, the collection was launched with a grand fashion show at Fatehgarh, where over a dozen models from across the country participated.
Rathore, a Udaipur-based heritage dress designer, highlighted that each design in the collection narrates stories of Rajasthan’s traditional legacy. Itihaas was created to encourage the designs of his assistant designers, showcasing a blend of heritage and craftsmanship. The launch event featured vibrant performances by Rajasthan’s traditional Langa-Manganiyar folk artists, adding an authentic touch to the occasion.
The event was graced by dignitaries such as Mahesh Singh Jasrotia and Sandeep Rathore, alongside prominent figures from the fashion and media industries.
Notably, Vishal Rathore has been a pioneer in heritage fashion design since 2016, achieving success with five flagship stores across Rajasthan. Specializing in custom heritage wear, his timeless collections meticulously integrate the art and grandeur of Rajasthan’s diverse regions and dynasties. Rathore’s designs celebrate the craftsmanship and magnificence of the past, positioning his label as one of the first ‘Made in India’ heritage fashion brands.
