PM Modi to Watch Vicky Kaushal’s Film Chhaava in Parliament

A special screening of Chhaava, the Vicky Kaushal-led film based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is set to take place in Parliament on Thursday, 27 March. The event will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, several Union Ministers, and Members of Parliament.

The film, which delves into the legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan. Actor Vicky Kaushal, who plays the lead role, is also expected to be present at the screening alongside the film’s creators.

The screening highlights the government’s recognition of the historical and cultural significance of the Maratha warrior king, known for his valour and resistance against the Mughal Empire. The event will provide an opportunity for political leaders to engage with the cinematic portrayal of his life and contributions.

Even in its fourth week, Chhaava remains a strong force at the box office, continuing to set new records. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film has now surpassed the lifetime earnings of the Hindi version of Baahubali 2, making it the sixth highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
