Pushpa 2 Shatters BO with Rs 85 Cr Sunday

Pushpa 2: The Rule has been shattering box office records since its release on December 5, 2024. After becoming the biggest Hindi film opener, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s action flick continued to set benchmarks. On the fourth day, the Hindi version alone registered Rs 85 crore, emerging as the first Hindi film to do so. So, far the total collection stands at Rs 800 crore worldwide.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala, on his X page mentioned that Pushpa 2 has crossed Rs 800 crore mark in just 4 days worldwide. Moreover, Pushpa 2 is proving to be a massive hit in Hindi version as compared to the original Telugu version. Going by the trade reports, the sequel will rake in Rs 1000 crore before it complete a week in theatres.

According to Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 earned Rs 141.5 crore nett in India on December 8. While the Hindi version earned Rs 85 crore, the Telugu minted Rs 44 crore. The film’s four-day collection now stands at Rs 529.45 crore, with its major contribution from Hindi version.

Pushpa 2 created history as it has become the fastest Indian film to gross Rs 800 crore worldwide. The high-octane actioner has also surpassed the records of several major blockbusters with its Day 4 worldwide collection. For comparison, Baahubali earned Rs 625 crore on Day 4, Jawaan minted Rs 520.79 crore, Pathaan reached Rs 429 crore, KGF 2 grossed Rs 552 crore, and Kalki 2898 AD earned Rs 555 crore globally.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is written and directed by Sukumar. Apart from Allu Arjun, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahad Fasil in pivotal roles. The film hit the theatres on December 5, 2024. It was released on over 10,000 screens globally in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
